​At Pirate Coffee, we respectfully acknowledge the Worimi People as the traditional custodians of the land were our Roastery stands.

We honor their deep and enduring connection to the land, waters, and culture.

We pay our respects to their elders - past, present and emerging - and commit to learning from their wisdom as we roast, connect and grow.

Nau Mai Haere Mai Ki Toku Mahi Toa.

As we celebrate the culture of the Worimi people, we also honor our Maori ancestry, Ngati Kahungunu and Taranaki.

Inspired by the Maori concept of Whanaungatanga (connection and kinship), we commit to fostering relationships that respect the land and the diverse stories of ALL people who come through our doors.
